Welcome!
Here we go into what will prove to be the most unusual year in my many years of teaching. I am very pleased with the way that the elementary school has approached this year with a hybrid model. I am glad that I will get to see the same students for 4 days. In k-2 we spend a lot of time building our community and making connections. This schedule allows us to do that.
During the first few weeks we will spend lots of time acclimating our young students to being back at school with it's new rules and expectations.
- Students will need to wear a mask at all times.
- We will provide students with the materials they will need in the classroom, they are to use only their own materials.
- The hallway bathrooms are limited to 2 students, there will be new important protocol around using the bathroom.
- Second graders will have plexiglass shields around their desk space. This will be SO interesting for kids at first, but I think we will all grow accustomed.
